Black Rock is located on the Port Phillip Bay, south-east of Melbourne. Black Rock Yacht Club began as an annex of the Brighton Yacht Club in 1899. In 1904 the Black Rock branch was established. The club now has a membership of over 700 members.
The burgee of the BRYC is blue with a white horizontal stripe in the middle.
