right corner.
According to Gemeentewapens in België - Vlaanderen en Brussel, the flag was adopted by the Municipal
Council on 23 April 1990, confirmed by the Executive of Flanders on 9
October 1990 and published in the Belgian official gazette on 25
September 1991. It is a banner of the municipal arms.
These arms were granted on 15 April 1952 to the municipality of Meerhout, whose limits were not modified in 1976.
