Description of the flag

Sint-Amands is located in the arrondissement of Mechelen.

The flag is vertically divided red-white-red (1:2:1), with St. Amandus trampling a dragon in the white stripe.
Saint Amandus was a missionary (7th century, bishop of Tongeren and Maastricht, c. 647), whose feast is on 6 February.

The flag was adopted by Municipal decision 10 July 1985, confirming the Ministerial decision 7 May 1985.
