Neerpelt is located in the arrondissement of Maaseik.

The flag is: Party per fess in ten pieces Or and Gules, in escutcheon Argent, two fesses shifted in ten pieces Gules. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 30 November 1981.
