Description of the flag

Zonhoven is located in the arrondissement of Hasselt.

The flag is: Azure, a sun or. Proportions are 2:3 and the sun has sixteen straight rays. Zon means sun in Dutch, so it is a canting flag.

The flag was adopted on 16 April 1981.
