Description of the flag

Zelzate (12,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Eeklo.

The flag is: Sable, a pale Argent. In the upper corner of the pale Sable near the hoist, an escutcheon Argent, a lion rampant Sable, holding a two-headed eagle Sable. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 6 October 1992.
