Description of the flag

Jabbeke (12,700 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Bruges.

The flag is: Quarterly of nine, Sable and Argent, in the middle quarter three (2:1) swans Argent, beaked and pawed Gules. Proportions are 2:3.
Apparently nothing is known about the origin of the swans.
