About the Flag of Barcelona

The flag was adopted by law no. 5 of 18 August 1972. It is a vertical triband, green, white, and green. On the center is a red shield with a white fess in chief inscribed with the name Barcelona in black letters. The shield is flanked by a cotton bush and a corn stalk.
