The item on the flag of Mägenwil is a capsule which contains the fruits of the poppy (is there an easier name in English?). It looks like this flag is canting as the German blazon says : "In Rot gelbe Fruchtskapsel des Mohns (Mägi) an gelbem Stiel mit zwei gelben Blättchen". Maybe the "Mägi" in parenthesis is a local name (Schwytzertütsch?) for the poppy.
