Gules on a Pale Or three Chevrons Sable and overall a Bend wavy Azure.

An interesting design, with a brook flowing across a variation of the old arms of the neighbouring Neuchâtel canton (the variation still used as the arms of one Neuchâtel commune). What's the story behind it?

António Martins-Tuválkin, 3 February 2002

The shield comes from the arms of the intendentants of Nidau so, even if I have to admit that the design is very similar, I don't see any link with Neuchatel here.
