Željko Heimer, 26 July 2002
The commune of Marly has changed its flag in 1991 to reflect fusions of Marly-le-Grand
and Marly-le-Petit in 1969 and then Chesalles in 1976.
The blue wavy stripe symbolizes the river Gerine and the 3 leaves
(which alludes to the 3 former entities) come from an alder-tree,
very common in this area.
