A yellow triangle.

Similar to but still somewehat different from the Imperial dragon flag (1872) -
notably, the pearl is shown aflame, there are little flames throughout,
the positions of the paws and claws differ, the tail is thin and
snakelike instead of fringed - and the entire flag is edged in a wave-
or flame-like pattern.

The source image is badly faded, but looks a reddish orange. Does this mean each
of these flags had the officer's name on it? IHere is one with the
(hopefully correct) characters for "name of officer": 士官姓名.

Same color as the Naval officer flag. Note that characters are displayed
on their side, and flag is shown with hoist to right.
