"La bandera está formada por tres franjas horizontales de
igual tamaño, la superior de fondo azul marino representa la
tranquilidad, el equilibrio, la sensibilidad, la confiabilidad y
la sinceridad de sus gentes; la franja central de color blanco
significa la energía interior, la paz, el apego a su terruño;
el rojo ocupa la parte inferior, denota la sangre de quienes
dieron su vida por la libertad de nuestra patria."
