"La bandera municipal esta formada por tres colores rojo, blanco y verde que representan en su orden la sangre derramada por los heróes tasqueños que participaron en la gesta libertaría cuyas ordas causaron numerosas bajas en las filas realistas, la orla blanca simboliza el espíritu pacífico de los tasqueños y por último encontramos la representación de la flora nativa del municipio."
