"Rectangular, esta dividida en tres partes:
Una banda ancha, diagonal desde el vértice superior izquierdo hasta el opuesto, que divide el rectángulo en dos triángulos iguales.
La bandera lleva los mismos colores que el escudo y colocados en igual forma, su significado es el siguiente:
Angulo superior, amarillo oro: simboliza la riqueza, sabiduría, fe. Banda transversal, en color rojo, con una estrella amarilla en el centro, con cinco puntas, que representa a su heroína la Policarpa Salavarrieta.
Angulo inferior en azul, significando justicia y lealtad."
