"Decreto No. 057 de Octubre 23 de 1970 " por medio del cual se adoptan las insignias oficiales de la ciudad de Villavicencio", bajo la administracio'n del Alcalde RITO ANTONIO MARINO RODRIGUEZ.
BANDERA: Constituida por tres franjas horizontales de igual taman~o de colores azul, verde y rojo: el azul representa nuestro inmenso cielo y la rica hidrografia, el verde simboliza la fertil e inmensa llanura, y el rojo indica la lucha de nuestro pueblo en la gesta libertadora."
The municipal flag has equal horizontal stripes of blue-green-red. The image in this page is the Meta Department flag.
