Petrov has1 422 inhabitants. Water fortified settlement - probably a part of border fortification against Hungary from the period of the first Přemyslide kings. The village was founded in about 1400. From the 16th century a sulphur watering place used until 1987. Chapel decorated by local ornaments. Plže - in the Czech Republic a unique group of original wine cellars from 18th and 19th centuries, declared a national reservation of folk architecture. Traditional wine festivals. Petrovské louky - remnants of a large complex of flooded meadows along the Morava river with typical plants and some rare animal species - nesting places of a curlew.
