The first record on this village, situated on the boundary of Haná and the Vala¹sko regions, dates back to 1326. The centre of village embodies the square, parks, Renaissace Town Hall from 1521, and the manor with picturesque door-jamb – the Haná folk building from the end 18th century. The visitors of Døevohostice are attracted by architecture of the Renaissance four-wing château from the 16th century, with well-maintained front yard and moat. The late-baroque church of St.Gallus (Svatý Havel) from the 18th century is another remarkable site in the village.
