Třebíč is a district city of 40,000, administrational, cultural and social center of the region, 60km from the Moravian metropolis Brno and 150km from Vienna. The oldest record of Třebíč dates from 1101 - the year when the Benedictine Order founded their monastery here. It has the largest tower clock in the European Continent with 5.5m in diameter
