are at the municipal
website.
Flag: the flag has three horizontal stripes of blue and yellow. The
yellow stripe is 1/2 flagheight. In the center thereof is the municipal
arms. The flag can also be used aa a banner. The colors are derived from
the city arms: blue for the blue coned roof of the castle, and yellow for

Coat of arms: Gules a castle argent with coned roof azure and ball or,
with two stylized trees (hawthorn and linden) or; under the gate hanging
on a rope an ornamented capsule ("Desum-Knop") or.
The arms remind of the "Desum-Gericht", which for hundreds of
years was held on the Desum near Emstek. It has the same motif as the legal
seal of the "Gogericht" on the Desum.
