Saxonia.
Description of banner: Its ratio is 5:2; it is a green-white vertical
bicolour superimposed by the coat of arms shifted to the top.
Description of coat of arms: In a green shield there is a crowned Virgin
Mary with Jesus in her arms. They are plced between two church towers topped
by crosses. The whole scenery is of silver (=white).
I spotted this flag on 10 March 2007 in front of the wellness-centre
of Bad Bevensen. Though the ratio was that of a banner it was hoisted like
a flag.
*A "Samtgemeinde", also called "collective municipality"
is a combination of several municipalities to an administrative community
in Lower Saxony.
