Description of flag:
The flags ratio is 3:5. It is horizontal 3-stripes flag, yellow over
red over yellow with ratio 1:3:1 with the coat of arms in the centre of
the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
In a golden (=yellow) shield are six alternating white and red hexagons,
each has both vertical sides of double length of the four others, the angles
are 90° (top and bottom) and 135° (the others).
Within the ring a golden (=yellow) hole of the same shape is created.

Meaning:
The city of Bergkamen was built of six villages and hamlets. The ring
also symbolizes the formula for benzole and the importance of the
chemical industries.
