Description

Like the previous pilot flag, but with the current merchant flag instead of the plain black-white-red flag in the center.

The pilot ensign was also changed to the new pattern of the civil ensign; in the center it was the new civil ensign, the white border had a height of a fifth of the flag height. Proportion 2:3. The pilot ensign was changed by a regulation (Lotsensignalordnung or pilot signal regulation) of 10 March 1922. Sources:
