Description

The so-called fränkische Herzogsfähnlein (litt. Franconian small ducal flag) or Sturmfähnlein (litt. small assault flag) is associated with the principality-bishopric of Würzburg. Thus, the fränkische Herzogsfähnlein flag is part of a coat of arms, but appeared centuries before it.
