"Está compuesta por tres colores: verde, amarillo y rojo.
Elverde y el amarillo ocuparán dos franjas horizontales,
superior e inferior; en la parte lateral izquierda, en forma de
un triángulo el color rojo. El color verde significa la
esperanza y el futuro, basado en el trabajo fecundo de sus hijos
labriegos. El color amarillo significa el dorado matiz del
progreso del cantón representado por el trabajo de sus artesanos
orfebres. El rojo representa y simboliza el coraje y orgullo del

desarrollo."
