At <www.municipiodemanta.com> there a St. George cross and not Scandinavian cross as reported.  Note also that the Coat of Arms show the ship and train but not a plane.

Institutional Flag

by Carlos Thompson, 13 November 2004

According to <www.municipiodemanta.com>: "Para el uso de las instituciones del Cantón se estable las siguientes medidas : 1,80 m. de largo x 1,20 m. de ancho, sin el escudo."
I kept the ratio at the hoist, and the ratio for the horizontal and vertical bars.

Previous Flag

by Blas Delgado Ortiz, 27 October 2001

I found the description of the former flag of the Canton of Manta, in Manabí Province, Ecuador. It was a vertical sky blue - white - sky blue triband with the actual CoA in the center of the white band. Dimensions not specified. I assumed 3:1.
