Adopted: 24 July 1992. Ratio: 1:2. Tower refers to the castle of Paide. Silver flags refer to the limestone. First coat of arms of  Paide from 1441 at <www.paide.ee>.
The name comes from German name Weissenstein (white stone). Estonian "paas" is limestone (white limestone).
