Overview

Adopted: 5 May 1992. Ratio: 7:11. Rae is a rural municipality (vald) in Harjumaa County (Maakond).
Dov Gutterman ,12 January 1999

Rae vald - Black fields and silver cross symbolize the connection with the first Estonian bible. Leafs of oak are connected to some local legend. Red fields with silver cross refer to Harjumaa and to the name of municipality Rae (raad is old Estonian word meaning city council, connection with Tallinn).
