Adopted: 13 October 1995. Ratio: 2:3. Vinni is a rural municipality (vald) in Lääne-Virumaa County (maakond).

Down pointed triangle reminds the first letter of the name of municipality. Such triangle was also the symbol of clean water in alchemy. Leaves of oak refer to one of the biggest forest of oaks in Estonia. These symbolize also diligence and painstaking of locals which is rewarded with good fruits (acorns). Silver symbolizes the pureness and hope. Green symbolizes nature closeness and youthfulness.
