No mention is made in Calvo and Grávalos 1983 to a yacht ensign during the Second Republic, a hypothesis would be the republican triband with a mural crown. (...)

The 1931-1936 yachts' ensign was the republican red-yellow-purple triband with instead of the coat-of-arms a yellow mural crown, contoured in black and with a red cap (the filling). First illustrated in the 1932 official ship list (Dreyer 1988 says amtliche Schiffsliste but probably a Spanish publication). The start of the civil war in 1936 caused a de facto abandonment of this ensign. Source: Dreyer 1988, pp. 41-42, ills. 40-42.
