European Union fishery inspection

The flag hoisted by the fishery inspection vessels in the waters of European Union is a triangular flag quartered blue yellow. It was adopted by EEC regulation #1382/87 on 20 May 1987.

North Sea fishery protection

The same flag but with proportion 2:3 is shown by Pedersen [ped80].
Verzameling van verordeningen voor de Koninklijke Marine Nr. 9; Kleuren en afmetingen van vlaggen, vaandels enz., van belang voor de Koninklijke Marine, issued by the Royal Netherlands Navy, also gives a proportion of 2:3, the vertical division being at 1/3th of the length.

This flag was suppressed after the adoption of the European Union fishery inspection flag (cf. French note #3310 P-6 18 November 1987).
