Presentation of Alsatian People's Union

Alsatian People's Union (Union du Peuple Alsacien / Elsässische Volksunion) is a movement which claims an autonomous status for Alsace within France and Europe.

Flag of Alsatian People's Union

Alsatian People's Union uses an horizontally divided red-white flag, which had already been used by autonomist movements in the beginning of the XXth century.

This flag is shown in the Flags of Aspirant Peoples chart [eba94], #69, with the following caption:

ALSACE (Elsass)
Germanophone Region
Northern France

Note that Alsace is usually considered as being in eastern rather than northern France.
