The Royal Dragoon Guards is a tank unit of the British Army formed on 1st
August 1992 as a result of the amalgamation of the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards
and the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards (from
http://www.gatewest.net/~gknudson/rdg.html). They have a site at http://www.army.mod.uk/rdg/,
but the flag-graphic there is not exactly like the one they apparently fly in
the field--I saw the latter one in news photos following the crash of a British
C-130 in Iraq a few months ago. A horizontal tricolor of dark red, yellow and
dark green, with the badge centered. I think that the center stripe looks a bit
narrower than the others, though they are equal on some of the graphics on the
above site--considerable divergence in colors too. The proportions look to me to
be 3:5, consistent with the flag-graphic in the top right corner there. Their
regimental standard can also be seen at
http://www.rdgmuseum.org.uk/.
