The symbols of Vratišinec are prescribed by Statutory Decision Statutarna odluka o opisu i uporabi grba i zastave Općine Vratišinec, adopted on 5 October 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 30 November 2007 in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, No. 11.
Decision Odluka o razrješenju i imenovanju članova Komisije za idejno rješenje grba i zastave Općine Vratišinec, adopted on 19 April 2004 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 20 March 2006 in Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, No. 2, appointed the members of a commission to adopt a coat of arms and flag.
Decision Odluka o razrješenju i imenovanju člana Komisije za idejno rješenje grba i zastave Općine Vratišinec, adopted on 15 March 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 23 March 2007 in Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, No. 3, changed a member of the commission established in 2004 to elect new symbols.
Decision Odluka o usvajanju rješenja za izradu grba i zastave Općine Vratišinec, adopted on 11 June 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 30 June 2007 in Službeni glasnik Medimurske županije, No. 6, decideds upon the design of the new symbols, in a single sentence of the decision. It does not reveal which design it is, but presumably, this was already the design subsequently adopted.
The flag (photo) is in proportions 1:2, light blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Azure a cross patriarchal marron issuant from the base and in the chief a feather argent fesswise".
The cross stands for religious values and the feather for music and education that Vratišinec is proud of.
