Presentation of Karlovac County

Karlovac County is situated south west from Zagreb, around the town of Karlovac, bordering Slovenia to the north and Bosnia to the south. The s outhern part of the county has been ravaged by the war with Serbia and occupied for more than five years.

Flag of Karlovac County

The symbols of Karlovac County are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Županije Karlovačke, adopted on 27 February 1995 by the County Assembly and published in the County official gazette Glasnik Županije Karlovačke, No. 3.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o company from Rijeka.
