Lovrec is a community in the southern part of the Split
Dalmatia County, some 40 km south-east of Split,
20 km northwest of Imotski, in the
hinterland region known as Zagora. Population 3,600, with about 1,200
in the village of the same name.
The flag is recently manufactured, as far as I am aware without
any legal background. It is vertical red flag with the coat of
arms in the middle bordered white. The coat of arms is equally
unofficial, to the best of my knowlage. It may be blazoned so:
Gules a heater branch proper in bend and on a ribbon argent in
the base name of the community sable. The header (Saturea
Illirica) is a plant groving abundantly in the region and is
famed for its medical characteristics.
