Hottó is an union of Hottó and Zalaszentmihályfa villages
[1949] The first mention of the villages is from 1278 as
"Holton".
2001 Population Census: 331 inh. Ethnic affiliation: Hungarian:
97,0%, unknown, did not wish to answer: 3,0% Religion: Roman
Catholic: 92,8%; Calvinist: 1,5%; unknown, did not wish to
answer: 5,4%.
