Description

The new (2003) union of the two former Local Councils situated on Mount Karmel (or Carmel), yet unofficially, adopt the name Ir Ha'Karmel (City of the Karmel)
Daliyat El-Karmel was Local Council since 1951. Isfiya was also Local Council since 1951.
After the unification both become to be the first Druze municipality in Israel.
