Local Council Ein Mahel (meaning rest spring in
Arabic) is situated on a mount, 5 km NE to Nazareth Ilit. A Local Council since
1965 with 8,500 inh., all Muslims. The unofficial flag is
reportedly white with blue emblem, probable only until
confirmation. The municipal emblem was published in the official
gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut
HaPirsumim), YP 3748, 4 March 1990.
