Local Council Sajur is a Druze village situated north to Acre-Zefat
road (road 85), 5 km NE to Karmi'el.
3,000 inh., a Local Council from 1992. In my visit I saw a white
flag with multicoloured emblem at the city hall. The municipal
emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot),
'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP
4348, 12 November 1995.

The village of Sajur was established in the 18th century and
kept the name of the ancient Jewish town of Shazor. Pop: 3,400
(2003) all Druze.
