Regional Council Lakhish is situated in Ashqelon subdistrict,
around Qiryat Gat. Named after an
ancient town with that name, it was proclaimed on 18 October 1956
(but started its activities a year before) and has 6,000 inh. in

The flag has been reported as a emblem on monochrome field,
colours yet to be confirmed so meanwhile I drew a basic design.
The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot),
'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP
633, 13 November 1958.

Regional Council Lakhish govern the communities of: A'huzam,
Amatzya, Zohar, Yad Nathan, Lakhish, Nehora, Noga, Nir Hen,
Otzem, Sde David, Sde Moshe, Sha'har, Shekef and Tlamim.
