The Congress Jananayaka Peravai (Congress Democratic Front) is based in Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 2001 by ex-minister P. Chidambaram, as a splinter-group of Tamil Maanila Congress, when TMC allied themselves with All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
