Acceded to the Union of India on Feb.23, 1948
Founded in 1790 by Saiyid Asad Ali Khan
 
Flag:
"His Highness the Nawab Saheeb of Banganapalle has a green flag in rectangular shape with the center, in white. The Nawab is a Muslim - shiite, descendant of the Prophet. The sword is double-bladed and is called the 'zulfiqar'."
