Overview

Roberto Breschi, in his presantation: "Flags in Italy under Napoleon's pressure" at ICV 20 in Stockholm, reported about the Pidmontese Republic: This short lived rebublic existed in 1800-1801. On 9 July 1800 it adopted a horizontal triband of red-blue-gold. In 1801 this rebublic was incorporated into France. The colors are used today in the regional Gonfalone.
