Kawaguchi city in Saitama adopted its emblem on 18 September 1933 by Notice No. 70 and its flag on 16 July 1965 by Notice No. 49; a stylized kanji Kawaguchi 川口.

emblem: 7/10 of width Japanese dark bluish green
The emblem is a stylized kanji Kawa and Guchi.

Adopted by Notice No. 49. The emblem was adopted on 18 September 1933, Notice No 70. Although I didn't find this written anywhere, the emblem has a stylised kanji kawa (river), forming a circle around a stylised kanji guchi (mouth, entrance).
