A stylized representation of the flag. From the Bonghwa website

The circle stands for pure Bonghwa, and the oval stands for the rich lands. They are both colored green as to express the pure image of Bonghwa. The three towering mountains of Bonghwa (Cheongryangsan, cheongoksan, munsusan) and the marching man stands for the progressive spirit and defiant will of the people of Bonghwa.
