Emir's standard, 1956

[Flag of 1956-1962]by Jaume Ollé

The 1956 personal flag of Kuwait Emir has a red field, with in the hoist vertical white shahada, and in the fly a big white Arabic writing. I have here a young Kuwaiti midshipman who recognised this as historically correct; the writing means "Kuwait".
