Usually spelt Tanukh, Tanookh, Tanuq or Tanooq (also Thanouite) – a pre-Islamic Arab tribe from the 2nd-4th centuries AD which migrated from Yemen to Iraq and Syria and converted to Christianity. Further information in this webpage and this webpage.
This Tanukh flag has a distinct Druze look – however the Druze dynasties' flags (Maanid and Chehab) do not. Weird.
(...) I wonder how old are some of the flags in this list supposed to be – Tanukh flag, Phoenician flag – and how reliable their existence is!
