Kano (the Emirate of Kano)

[Emirate of Kano (Nigeria)]

Among the many flag designs Mr. Pasch had sent me, there was one of the Emirate of Kano (Kano is the largest city in Northern Nigeria, I would not be surprised if its current population was of two or three million inhabitants). His source was Flaggenmitteilungen, years 1983-1984. Could anybody tell me what the status of the flag was? Is is still used? I have a vague remembrance of seeing a flag on a report about Northern Nigeria.

Katsina Emirate

Mr. Pasch mentioned a flag for Katsina Emirate (possibly, the Emir of Katsina still is a major, if not the most influential personality in Muslim Nigeria nowadays). This flag was white with "KATSINA" or "EMIRAT KATSINA" written in black in the canton. There should be a more precise drawing in the same issue of Flaggenmitteilungen.

Unidentified Kaduna Flag

I saw a brief report about Kaduna State. I saw one flag, but I don't know its attribution. I believe that it is not the state flag.
