Number of inhabtitants (1 Jan 2003): 11.528; area: 12,86 km². Settlements: Doesburg (seat).
Doesburg is c. 20 km east of Arnhem. The crescent is derived from the municipal CoA and probably refers to participants from Doesburg in a Crusade before 1290, when this symbol appeared on a city seal.
